Our business starts at the stump of a hardwood tree. Hardwood timber is a valuable asset to the Appalachian Mountains and our region grows some of the finest hardwoods in the USA. Our timber procurement radius touches not only eastern Kentucky but also the south western counties of West Virginia and parts of Virginia's south western coal field area. Pulpwood, Poplar Peelers, Veneer, Quarter Logs, White Oak Staves and typical Sawlogs are all marketable in our area and we make sure that all possible markets are met to bring the maximum value to the tree.

We produce and sell hardwood lumber products from our purchased timber. Our sawmill operation at Kimper, KY produces 5MMBF lumber from common hardwood species. We commonly produce 4/4–8/4 plain sawn lumber, pallet cants and railroad crossties.
